Team Members will be responsible for finding transportation, although most meetings places should be within walking distance and most meetings should be on the weekends, making it easy to find rides.
Equipment, uniforms, and other such gear are not specifically outlined by the International Quidditch Associatiation, the expenses of maintaining a team varies greatly, however I believe it is important that players have a minimal level of protection considering that is a partial-contact sport.
Players will be required to have Lacrosse goggles, appropriate shoes,
It is also recommended that the player have knee pads, a cup (for the male players) and similar padded guarding.
Colored headbands, shirts and a cape indicating the players position, and team
*Note that the snitch specifically must wear gold colored head band and shirt.
The official IQA broom is made by Alavans —http://www.alivans.com/custom/web/list.asp?c=19743—-, but if the team does not wish to pay the prices set forth by Alavans (the cheapest of which is $24 with special team pricing),
it is not a requirement. Brooms can be replaced with cheaper models, although they have a tendency to be made of harder woods and thus might be a little more dangerous to the male players (backing up the necessity for cup guards).
Also note that if players do not pay their share it comes out of my pocket. Which makes me sad.. please don’t make me sad.
